The result is that the glans remains fully or partly visible after the procedure, depending on the chosen treatment and the patient's anatomy. Although the reason may be cosmetic, it remains a medical procedure that must be carried out carefully by an experienced doctor.
Difference from a medical circumcision
With a medical circumcision there is a physical reason for the treatment. Think, for example, of severe foreskin narrowing, recurring inflammation or other complaints of the foreskin.
With a cosmetic circumcision, such medical complaints are absent. The patient's own wish is then the main reason for the treatment.

What does the result of a cosmetic circumcision look like?
After the treatment, the glans remains visible because the foreskin has been fully or partly removed. Immediately after the procedure, the final result cannot yet be properly assessed. Swelling, discolouration and tenderness can be part of normal recovery.
A scar also needs time to become more supple and less noticeable.
